He applies a team approach to help patients suffering from pain and immobility who may be considering orthopedic joint replacements, spinal surgeries, or other invasive procedures. He extends great effort to understand the cause of the patient’s pain and functional deficits in order to make the best recommendation and provide the best solution, often working with the patient’s primary care physician and other specialists in order to achieve the best possible outcome and avoid unnecessary treatments and surgeries.
Dr. Rock began using regenerative medicine techniques during his residency training and has trained directly with many team physicians for college and professional level athletic teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He previously served as a team physician for the Glendale Raptors. He often incorporates regenerative medicine techniques, including platelet rich plasma and stem cell therapy, into the patients overall treatment when it is appropriate. He was one of the first physicians to use regenerative medicine techniques treating Denver Broncos football players. Dr. Rock has more recently trained in aesthetic medicine incorporating some of these same regenerative medicine techniques.
